Insurance and Payment Options

Call us at 256-543-8886 to discuss your vision insurance or to find out more about other payment options.

Vision Insurance

Our experienced staff is accustomed to working with vision insurance providers. We will review your provider and let you know if it is accepted in our office. If so, we will work directly with you and your vision insurer to submit claims regarding your vision care. We will always do our best to make sure you have a full understanding of your vision insurance coverage and what costs are and are not covered. It is important to be aware that most vision insurance plans require a co-payment for an office appointment. Also, there are often additional costs for services rendered that are outside of the scope of coverage and will need to be paid out of pocket.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Employers often offer Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options to employees. These may be referred to as “cafeteria plans.” A Flexible Spending Account is an elective, supplemental insurance savings plan designed to let the employee set aside money in an account, before taxes, to be used to offset any out-of-pocket costs not covered by vision insurance. This might include additional expenses such as eye exams, glasses, contacts, and sometimes laser vision surgery. Your employer’s benefits administrator will be able to tell you if your employer offers an FSA and if you are eligible for this program.

Other Payment Options

For those with no vision insurance, we accept cash, check, and major credit cards. We want you to be able to get the care you need to maintain proper eye health and good vision, so we are happy to discuss financing options with you prior to your examination.
